The world is so interconnected and everyone is very diversified with their investments that you are not sure how one event will affect or benefit a market like the North Shore Punta Mita area. Markets and people these days are behaving in an incredibly sensitive and emotional manner towards all the international events occurring around the globe. The social events occurring in the Middle East has brought an influx of European investors and tourists back to the Mexican Caribbean and Caribbean Islands. The Japan tsunami and earthquake disaster has resulted in an influx of people and investors back to the North Shore Punta Mita and Mexico Pacific Coast. People want to be away from possible events that might affect their vacation and investment patterns that Mexico--despite its recent security news—has become the most attractive destination during these past weeks. Beautiful resort areas, sunny weather, friendly Mexican people and overall secure and diversify investment opportunity has created over the past weeks a new and revived interest in properties for sale. We have received a new movement in offers, predominantly from Canadians, Mexicans and we start to see more Americans stepping in and getting into the real estate market. The rental activity also has picked up and it seems like the second quarter will be much better than the first quarter in terms of increased visitors. The event, created and hosted by The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, in collaboration with Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, DINE, developer of Punta Mita, Riviera Nayarit Visitors’ Bureau and American Airlines, brings together internationally acclaimed chefs, winemakers and master tequila houses so that resort guests and Punta Mita residents may enjoy a 3+ day festival of the finest of food, golf and festivities.

The Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic will feature gourmand meals and cooking courses educated by distinguished chefs, a series of wine and tequila tastings, festive gatherings at the luxurious St. Regis Punta Mita Resort and Four Seasons Punta Mita, and "The Punta Mita Cup", a two-day golf tournament on Jack Nicklaus' two signature courses Bahia and Pacifico.

8bPunta Mita & Riviera North Shore Surf & Paddle Club: We are meeting at 5:30pm every Friday at Plaza Ollin (Boca Deli) for our Riviera North Shore & Punta Mita Surf & Paddle Club. We then head over to the Residents’ Beach Club in Punta Mita to meet a panga that departs at 6:00pm (weather and waves permitting), and head out together to the best break for that day (there is no cost for the panga/surf adventure except to cooperate with a tip for our captain). Should the waves be too large at the Punta Mita Beach Club we will meet the panga in the village to facilitate our departure and arrival at the El Coral restaurant. Come join us one of these Fridays, no matter if you are a beginner (we do not currently have an instructor), intermediate, or advanced surfer or paddle boarder/surfer. Our idea is to share in another spectacular sunset surf session and meet more people in our community that share the same passion for catching a few waves!
