This year has started somewhat slower than we expected however we currently have six (6) offers being negotiated within Punta Mita and Los Veneros at this time. While the buyers are still in many cases offering below what we would currently consider ‘current market values’ we are able to find middle ground and make most of these transactions happen. Our market is still challenged although we are now seeing more people returning, both existing homeowners bringing their friends here to Paradise once again and the hotels are experiencing more demand on a more consistent level. We are excited about the listings that we hold, we believe that our listings are mostly priced to sell given the existing current market conditions and we are working on many levels with our broker outreach programs, generation of prospective clients and marketing to ensure that we continue to attract the prospective buyers in the coming weeks and months ahead. We continue to invest and work with international brokerage companies and work through our network of friends and homeowner neighbors to ensure that we are at the forefront of everyone’s mind when they think of the Riviera North Shore, Riviera Nayarit and Punta Mita. We have a booth in a Mexican Real Estate Expo in Calgary, Canada in March and Wally & Jonathon will be going personally to man the RPR booth. We have meetings already scheduled with some brokers and agents in the area through our partner broker to ensure that we cover as much ground as possible while we are in Canada. We are also hosting a ‘Riviera North Shore & Punta Mita’ Cocktail on March 5th for our homeowners and their friends from Calgary.

Los Veneros – Friday night BBQs!

TGIF! Now, each and every Friday, enjoy a beachfront BBQ with friends at the Veneros Beach Club, at Los Veneros, Costa Banderas. Nahui Beach Club, slated to open soon

Our NEW RPR Beach Club at nahui is being completed as we go to print with this newsletter. The new Beach Club in nahui, created by RPR and our partners, will be called ‘Tukipa’ and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is a European style beach ‘Chiringito’ and we will have good music, good food and drinks and fun for all ages. We will also have water activities, as we get open and up to speed. Gerry Lopez SUP Camp: The Cinco Watersports Center at Hotel des Artistes is hosting the Gerry Lopez Paddle Surf Lifestyle Clinic, March 14-16, 2011. Combining days on the water perfecting standup paddle surfing techniques alongside surfing legend Gerry Lopez, evenings will feature land lessons that will cover technique, equipment, surfing etiquette, water safety, as well as hearing Gerry speak about the aloha and history of surfing.

Surf legend Gerry Lopez, grew up in Honolulu Hawaii where he surfed the reef breaks of the North Shore of Oahu. Gerry soon became recognized as the best tube rider in the world and twice won the Pipeline Masters surf contest, which has since been named The Gerry Lopez Pipeline Masters. Gerry has been in the forefront of Standup Paddle Surfing, and displays the same grace and skill in this new and exciting surf sport. During this clinic, Gerry will offer participants personalized surfing tips, as well as lead morning yoga classes. The clinic will explore water lifestyle with discussions including diet, yoga, longevity and Gerry’s own philosophy. This clinic is the ultimate invitation for those who want to improve their Paddle Surfing alongside one of the greatest surfers of all time.

The clinic is geared towards intermediate to advanced surfers, however other instructors will be on hand to teach those just beginning Standup Paddling. Cost of the three-day clinic is $825.00 US per person. Hotel or condominium accommodations, gear rental, land transportation, etc. are available to participants at additional cost.

Punta Mita & Riviera North Shore Surf & Paddle Club: We are meeting at 4:30pm every Friday at Plaza Ollin (Boca Deli) for our Riviera North Shore & Punta Mita Surf & Paddle Club. We then head over to the Residents’ Beach Club in Punta Mita to meet a panga that departs at 5:00pm (weather and waves permitting), and head out together to the best break for that day (there is no cost for the panga/surf adventure except to cooperate with a tip for our captain). Should the waves be too large at the Punta Mita Beach Club we will meet the panga in the village to facilitate our departure and arrival at the El Coral restaurant. Come join us one of these Fridays, no matter if you are a beginner (we do not currently have an instructor), intermediate, or advanced surfer or paddle boarder/surfer. Our idea is to share in another spectacular sunset surf session and meet more people in our community that share the same passion for catching a few waves! Punta Mita Tennis: Monday evenings at 4:30pm, Punta Mita residents and friends can enjoy an hour of fun play and tips from our resident pro, Alex.

Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00pm offers another opportunity to enjoy fun games of singles and doubles with fellow tennis players. These Thursday evenings are great fun and offer another opportunity to meet and get to know other tennis players in our local community, all ability levels are welcome!
